Hi! I hope you’re having a great hump day. We are only a few days until the weekend and I can’t wait. Because my schedule has been so busy lately I have found myself wearing a lot of denim. If you follow me on Instagram you can see my obsession with denim is real. I’m always trying new brands and new washes. Recently, I was approached by a denim company in L.A. to give their brand a try. Parker Smith, founded in 2014 is a brainchild of CEO Mary Ellen Moschetti who loved premium denim but struggled to find one that fit. Their collection is made in downtown L.A. with beautiful fabrics and many different washes. But don’t worry you don’t have to drive to L.A. to get a pair. They are available on their website below and also on Nordstroms online.

Let me start with the cut, I love the Bombshell Skinny. The slightly higher rise and the skinny leg makes your legs look longer. Being so petite I always love to gain any extra height I can get. The wash in gulf stream is a lighter range blue with slightly distressed areas in all the right places. I decided to pair the denim with white ruffle top from Marled by Reunited Clothing that I had just received. They were so kind to invite me to their presentation during NYFW but since I couldn’t make it they shipped me a few pieces to try. The ruffle top is beautiful and I decided to belt it. I don’t wear a waist belt in this fashion very often but loved the look here. I love the trendy ruffles but sometimes feel like they are overwhelming. Cinching them in just a touch helped play with the proportion. I’m working on my blog calendar for the next month and plan to bring you another spring trend series like I did in the fall. Do you have any special questions regarding trendy pieces? I’d love to know.

Thanks for reading!

A special thank you to Parker Smith for collaborating on this post!
